TBPNC - Week 5

Week 5 of the challenge was The Fighter.  The rest of the 2011 films aren't available on Netflix yet, so we had to go to the 2010 list.  We've already seen a lot of them on the 2010 list, but not this one.

The plot via Wikipedia:

The Fighter is a 2010 biographical sports drama film directed by David O. Russell, and starring Mark Wahlberg, Christian Bale, Amy Adams and Melissa Leo. The film centers on the life of professional boxer "Irish" Micky Ward (Wahlberg) and his older half-brother Dicky Eklund (Bale).

We both really liked it!  I hadn't realized it was based on a true story.  That always makes a movie extra interesting.  I loved all the actors, especially Mark and Amy.  They all did a great job.  The fight scenes were a little hard to watch.  I just can't understand why anyone would choose to continuously get hit like that, but they didn't show anything too awful.
